Subject: Obama's victory- London Daily Mail
Obama's Victory
A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.
A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros and Sarandon. Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager political fashion.
Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement. Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition.
A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family, for those who prefer teachers' unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity.
A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation. A victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs.
Congratulations America!
I wondered what our friends in the UK thought about this crazy election. My fellow US citizens are led by the media, seems fitting that we elected a movie star. Looks good on camera, but has never accomplished anything. Little do they know how a super left socialist is going to screw up my great county. God help us all.
ReplyDeleteNot sure who wrote this or where it came from (I cannot verify this anywhere online, including at the Daily Mail UK), but this hits the nail so completely and squarely on the head that the shaft of the nail is thoroughly bent at ~90 degrees...ahh, that is because the nail is trying to go into a block of solid Oak (OR thick skulled Liberals). More nails please! Bigger nails please! The message needs to be preached! Then, maybe the hardheaded lefties in this country MIGHT see the light on this Obama Sham!
ReplyDeleteNot sure who wrote this or where it came from (I cannot verify this anywhere online, including at the Daily Mail UK), but this hits the nail so completely and squarely on the head that the shaft of the nail is thoroughly bent over at a right angle ~90 degrees...ahh, that’s because the nail is trying to go into a block of solid Oak (aka the thick skulls of Liberals). More nails please! Bigger nails please! This message needs to be preached, loudly & often! We are at War! Not in Iraq, but in the U.S. – The Culture War! Then, maybe the hardheaded lefties in this country MIGHT see the light on this complete & utter Obama Sham!
ReplyDeleteA short google search doesn't yield any positive results as to whether this actually came from The Daily Mail.
ReplyDeleteI even searched the Daily mail directly.
Please provide proof in a link from www.dailymail.co.uk
I could NOT agree more!!! Very nicely put. I am proud to be part of the 48% of America who actaully listened to what Obama had to say and not just to his "catch phrases". The future of this country and the security of its citizens are at risk.

ReplyDeleteJust so you know....
ReplyDeleteWhile I totally agree with this write up, it originally came from Toronto and was copied by the U.K.

Amen brother. I think we are witnessing the end of the USA as we know it. I never had much confidence in the publics intelligence, but electing Obama just confirmed our collectivity stupidity.
ReplyDeleteThis article was not in the London Daily Mail. It was written by John T Reed of Alamo California.
ReplyDeleteSomeone else Faked it by making it look like an editorial in on of the best English newspapers.
It is not the general opinion of the people in England at all. Far from it. I called the London Daily mail to check on it and it is definitely not theirs.
In all honestly, as an American, the article was "straight up" accurate. What the article did not address is the blatant moronic stupidity of Americans and how, without hesitation they will vote Democrat or Republican because that's what their parents and grand parents were.It wouldn't matter if Adolph Hitler was a Democrat. He would still pull 30 to 40% of the electorate. History be damned! If African Americans new history at all it would be a cold day in hell before they voted Democrat. Not only are Americans fools....they are political morons and know little about their political officials. Part of that is due to the media bias that is prevalent and the fact that most Americans retrieve their information in the 1 hour of nightly news that they watch or the blatantly biased news papers they read. Even the politicians themselves are taken in by the biased poles. John McCain lost because he was not conservative enough and tried to cater to the more liberal aspect of American voters. The reason he received the votes he got was due to his running mate. A full 30%+ of the Republican voters did not even vote and many of those who did, did so grudgingly. I myself did only because I felt that 4 years as an understudy would give Sarah Palin the necessary experience to satisfy the wishy washy, media believing Republicans out there who believed that the Governor of Alaska and business owner wasn't qualified. I've lived thru this "CHANGE" before. Jimmy Carter proposed it and America is still paying for it. We will pay for 2006 and 2008 for a very long time. Sadly, when the next Obama comes along the outcome will be the same. Mike homer City, PA
ReplyDeleteJapan did not attack the U.S. homeland on December 7th 1941 because they knew our citizens were armed. Do you think for one minute that had they known our citizens were under ka gun control society, would not have attacked?Let us not forget to protect ourselves. It's obvious the government won't.
ReplyDeleteThis is not an article from the London Daily Mail. It was written by someone using the Daily Mail as a cover to try to get more circulation of it and give it some credibility.
ReplyDeleteYou should always verify the source before posting it.For the true feeling of the London Daily Mail read this article; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1125026/MAIL-COMMENT-Obamas-inauguration-lights-candle-hope--flame-felt-world.html
I guess I'm not too bright. I can't see the king's new clothes. The press is fauning over this guy as if he had some real ability, which he does not appear to have. Another thing, I know it's very wrong to say so, but my wife and I firmly agree on this, the new first lady is a very odd looking woman. How is it the liberal press sheds tears about her amazing beauty and the clothes she wears, yet Sarah Palin was a slut because she wore nice things? There is no fairness in politics. The King has no clothes, we're all screwed, I'll be damned if I'll go along with this charade.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that this blog is referencing a FAKE post. Makes all of these anti-Obama arguments seem a bit silly.
ReplyDeleteYes this is from the Toronto Sun's columnist Michael Coren. Go to the link listed below and read the whole article.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I absolutely agree with the article.

I have been reading the various articles about our new President. I'm not part of the Obama-Nation, I listened to what he not what the media said.
ReplyDeleteWhat he wants and is setting up brings me to believe that the 52% that voted for him were blind, stupid or both. I think he and the Democratic Congress will bring this country to it's knees like an over tired toddler at WalMart.
We are talking about selling our home of 17 years (good luck with the economy created by our very D-Congress) and selling nearly all we own, taking our daughter and going on a very long boat trip to warmer climates.
Carter brought us to where we're currently headed. Obama wants to repeat that and then some. History shows what Stalin did and I see Obama and his far left liberals as striving for the same. How long will it be before those who voice criticism are jailed, killed or disappear as did Stalin's discontents?
I'd pray for Gods help, but Congress has banned that-almost.
Check out the link to the Toronto SUn and Michael Coren, a Canadian Conservative. It runs under his column, but not as his own words but those of "a young student friend". How lame is that - and a great way to voice something you may want to say, but are too afraid to take credit for! So there is a piece written by "no one" circulating the internet.
ReplyDeleteIt really seems like the comments on this article come from the same person! There are several duplicates with two names "anonymous" and "supportthetroops". Two people referencing Carter - a man who hasn't been in office for 28 years!? Listen, give the president a chance - its been all of two months in a 4 year term? It's funny how you can all insult your fellow Americans behind the words of someone who does nnot live or work here.
We had an election with all of the fanfare and media coverage and though a Democrat, I would have voted for John McCain, but not this John McCain, but the one who ran against Bush. He could think and speak for himself and had great ideas. This time around, his people got a hold of him and he lost himself. And honestly, I don't know who was the better man for the time, but I sure hope it is Obama. We are in a big mess that happened on the watch of BOTH parties.

The newspaper from which this article was taken, Is a very conservative paper, whose history includes family owners (Rothermere) that were supporters of Adolf Hitler, and editorially sympathetic to Oswald Mosley - creator of fascist organizations, such as the "British Union of Fascists" in 1932. In 2005, British Government release of secret documents after 60 years, shows Rothermere sent correspondences to Hitler, congratulating him for annexing Czechoslovakia and suggested he take Romania. Rothermere also bought homes in Hungary to have a place to go if Britain was invaded by the Soviet Union.
ReplyDeleteCheck this out yourself, there's plenty more on this paper and their owners
A couple months ago, I posted a challenge of sorts on my blog for someone to come up with a valid byline and source for this email that's been making the circuits. So far, no one's been able to correctly identify it. I think we can say with certainty that it didn't come from Britain. Some folks on Hannity's blog have pointed to a possible source at the Toronto Sun, but that article is substantively different from the one being referenced. In fact, this tripe is likely the product of an American Fox News viewer, who, like so many before him, decided to stretch the facts a bit to make himself sound more relevant.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I've been able to tell, this is a HOAX being perpetrated on the American public. Maybe you like the viewpoints expressed, but that doesn't mean it's right to compound the damage by continuing to spread this lie.
See my blog entry about it: http://jeremygoodell.com/2009/01/27/hoax-obama-a-british-view-london-daily-mail-obamas-victory.aspx
Add your two cents there if you'd like. No matter how misguided you are, I'm one of those liberals who is amused by all viewpoints.
Jeremy
Once again, the conservatives will believe anything from the right-wing liar's club. Does the term "fact" mean anything to a conservative?

Elvin P.Brattin, you need to do a "pop up".
ReplyDeleteObama has the left fooled. How is the hope and change working out for you? Obama has zero experience and it is showing and most of the world is laughing at him.
Obviously there have been a large number of readers of this blog who have also read this post. The blogger nowhere makes any claims as to authenticity or whether or not he agrees with the subject matter or not. NO COMMENT means just that. It is an assumption that readers can make up their own minds and check facts just as easily as I can. I found it of interest; nothing more and nothing less. When I believe I should make a comment, as noted above, I indicate it by writing in blue or I sign the articles. Needless to say there are many I've authored myself on this blog. Having friends in England and Spain, I occasionally solicit and publish their ideas if not their comments directly citing the sources. The search engine below will pull up articles according to their topics. An FW: in front of an article means it was forwarded to me via Email. Enjoy the variety and know I am not afraid to say I despise Obama nor publish differences of opinion I find interesting. PLB
