In this time when our nation suffers so greatly from fools in the Whitehouse, the legislatures, as our representatives abroad, let us go to the Lord in prayer. Repent and ask those who represent us to also repent of their sins against mankind, our nation, and our Lord so that our prayers might be heard and the disaster that awaits us be averted.
God is calling His people back to Himself through repentance and prayer. God wants His children to experience His love through prayer as a conversation with Him. He tells us the prayers of a righteous man availeth much but He also tells us if we would be heard, we must acknowledge our sins and repent of them. As a nation as well as individuals, we must repent. Pray for our leaders that they acknowledge Him and repent likewise or our prayers are not likely to affect our future. However, if His people who are called by His name will repent and pray for forgiveness, He says He will hear those prayers and heal our land. Likewise, He tells us that those who bless Israel will likewise be blessed but those who damn or reject Israel will suffer the same fate. Pray for the Peace of Israel and that all His people will be equally blessed.
In all that you do, pray. Pray for yourself, your family, your community, your state, your nation, and your church. When you pray, ask directly for His intervention in each individual event, affairs. and people affecting all those things you love and cherish and expect Him to answer you with His blessings directly equal to the fervency of your repentance and prayers.

Continental Divide
Today's ideological impasse is not well understood.
To be a modern "liberal" or "progressive" means generally to favor governmental ways of accomplishing things over private ways, especially over voluntary economic transactions.
Programs such as Arizona's "Clean Elections" law, discussed yesterday -- like similar ideas elsewhere -- are designed to make "things better" by preventing certain types of voluntary behavior and distributing taxpayer money (forcefully extracted money, mind you) to people who play by certain established rules.
This seems like "justice" and "fairness" to progressives. It seems more like tyranny and bullying and grand theft to me.
The biggest division -- the ideological analog of a continental divide -- may be the very picture we have of government. Whatever good intent there is, I see government as Force Institutionalized. So, of course I want it limited, by constitutions and whatnot, its scope reduced so that voluntary (non-governmental) interactions can take center stage in our social life.
I believe that paper constitutions are not enough, though, and that government must be checked by Joe and Jill Citizen, who have to live under it, pay taxes to support it, and in good conscience assent (or at least adapt) to its presence in their lives.
Progressives prefer not to look at the "naked force" aspect of government, and see only what they think it can do "for us." I worry what it will do "to us." As Tom Paine once wrote, "It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from his government."

Ever wonder what happened to "The One We Are Waiting For." (For Christians and Conservatives, that refers to Obama, Liberals savior, not Christ.) BO assumed office in difficult economic times. Two years of excuses including "the problems were worse than we knew" and the generic, all-purpose "it's Bush's fault". BO now owns the original problems and many new ones of his own doing. A report card on his "partial accomplishments" should include the following:
the economy worsened
discretionary military efforts increased (Libya)
an unpopular, flawed health care plan was forced on the public
inflation soared, especially in critical goods like food and gasoline
job prospects decreased
all "stimulus" failed miserably
"transparency in government" is a laugh-line for late night TV
corruption in government quickly accelerated Chicago-style
Housing worsened and shows no sign of bottoming soon
Government debt and spending exploaded
Wall Street was bailed out and continues to enrich themselves
Main Street was ignored and has become poorer as bankruptcies and foreclosures mount
race relations appear to have worsened
Lots of other problems belong to Obama making it difficult to ascertain what has improved other than the demise of Osama bin Laden. Two hypotheses are often cited to explain why things have gotten so much worse:
Obama is incompetent.
Obama knows what he is doing and is deliberately destroying the country.
These hypotheses are not mutually exclusive. Evidence is consistent with either or a combination of both. BO has no understanding of basic economics. Exploitation ideology is the basis for his world-economic view which sees the wealth as a zero-sum game, a fixed pie divided. If one person gets more, others necessarily get less. That this view is unrealistic is not within his abilities to percieve. He believes a country becomes successful by taking advantage of other countries based on the long-discredited concept of mercantilism = Success is Exploitation. Freedom, markets, institutions, incentives, and voluntary trade have no place in Obama's world. Success or failure is determined by one variable -- whether you are the exploiter or the exploited. Exploitation theory does not comport with economic theory, history, or reality unless you are a Communist or dedicated Socialist (or a mainstream news reader but I repeat myself) living in fantasy land. In Obama's world, success and failure are moral rather than economic outcomes. Success equates evil. Failure is caused by someone else's success rather than personal shortcomings. Failure equates the moral choice to not exploit others; proper moral behavior produces failure. For Obama, economics itself is immoral, hence, evil, a view of the world both simple and ignorant. No, it is beyond that. It is a sign of stupidity! Recognition of this stupidity is the key to understanding Obama's behavior and policies. (And a principal reason for his choosing Itty Bitty Biden, the smallest mind in the Senate as his VP). In his mind, he has a moral obligation to confiscate and redistribute wealth. The rich and successful must be punished as their success causes the poor their pain. Talent, hard work, ingenuity, risk-taking, etc. are not relevant in Obama's third-grade level of economic understanding. As expressed by Tom Sowell, "whether at home or abroad, Obama's ideology is an ideology of envy, resentment and payback." Obama's belief system is dominated by the dismissed exploitation theories of Karl Marx and the 60's-style radicals he grew up around. Most adults outgrew this nonsense, usually by our mid-twenties. Obama never did. He is still an intellectually undeveloped child locked into 60's ideas (the Marxist 1860s). His "knowledge" is based on nothing but the discredited ideologies of Socialism belying the claim that Obama is the smartest man to ever hold presidential office, a reflection of our media who insist on propping up this man-child. Obama's obsession with keeping his college records and personal past secret is prima facie evidence that the claim is untrue. His dismal performance on the world stage is even more damning. Instead of having a superior intellect, he appears the most ignorant, ideological, brainwashed dupe this country has ever elected to high office, his intellectual development never having progressed beyond all-night freshman bull sessions where all the world's problems were solved (with help from adequate amounts of beer and coke, of course). This intellectual pygmy must be removed from office by whatever possible peaceful means. Impeachment is in order, but will not happen. Thus the 2012 election is critical. For America, a conservative activist group, has produced a video challenging Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) not to be “chicken,” and to support the group’s “Cut, Cap, and Balance” pledge – cut the deficit, cap spending, and balance the budget. The video is being sent 1.5 million people via e-mail. It has some farm humor and notes that "chickens tend to flock together, often following each other without a real sense of direction."
The video comes on the heels of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) – Boehner’s representative in negotiations to raise the debt ceiling – walking out of debt-limit/budget talks on Thursday after Democrats insisted on tax increases as part of any deal. “Regardless of the progress that has been made, the tax issue must be resolved before discussions can continue,” Cantor said in a statement.

Bill Smith, Editor, ARRA News Service: You may recall the resent report in the news about the Dept. of Education being allowed to have and use a SWAT team to break down the down the door and enter the home of Kenneth Wright in Stockton, California at 6 A.M. They then physically assaulted the owner and put him in a patrol car for over 6 hours. They also woke his children and also put them in a patrol car. This person they were looking for was his estranged wife.
This abuse of power by an agency of the Federal Government should concern all Americans. This was not the FBI, CIA, ATF, or some military criminal instigation agency. This was the Department of Education who has expanded its ability to now be in the investigative business, running SWAT teams and breaking into people's homes. It appears that other agencies also have this type of authority as well. We have a expanded the Federal Government into a police state.
I planned to write an article but other events and stories took priority. Today, a fellow blogger at "The Blue Eye View" sent me an excellent commentary on the event. Before reading the commentary, view the following RTR Report video. RTR covers the story about the SWAT team broke into a home at the request of the US Department of Education to arrest and collect on a defaulted student loan. Kenneth Wright was dragged from his Stockton California home in his underwear while his children were in held police custody for several hours as they searched for his estranged wife. They also have remarks from Sheriff Richard Mack on the increased use of SWAT teams nationwide and Congressman Ron Paul's remarks on the Department of Education.
By Jon Christian Ryter, News With View.com: First, before we look at this bizarre and very troubling story that has already gone viral on the Internet, we need to raise a question that everyone else appears to be ignoring. Since when does the US Department of Education have a SWAT team at their disposal? Official answer: they borrowed it from the Inspector General. Okay. Now, let's rephrase the question. Since when does the US Department of Education's Inspector General have a SWAT team at its disposal? The short answer? Since the enactment of the Homeland Security Act of 2002. President Jimmy Carter and a social progressive Democratic Congress created the Department of Education with Public Law 96-88 on Oct. 17, 1979, and George W. Bush and a Republican Congress armed them in 2002 with an extension of the Patriot Act in what can only be described as the silent creation of the Bully State. And, finally—why? When the other questions are pondered and answered, one nagging question remains. Since the Office of the Inspector General was specifically created to investigate waste and fraud by individual employees in the federal government, why would the IG for any federal agency need a SWAT team?
If there ever was any doubt, at any time in the past, it's now clear that America can no longer trust it elected representatives on either side of the aisle. As Congress frantically seeks ways to limit the private ownership of guns in the United States (a Constitutionally-protected right) while trying to look like they are fighting to preserve that right, it appears to have no problem—in fact, it seems to be working under a sense of urgency—to arm every agency of government as if it was anticipating a citizen rebellion at any moment.
Clearly, while the Office of the Inspector General was created specifically to ferret out white collar crime within the federal bureaucracy by government employees and contractors, it appears from what we just witnessed in Stockton, California on June 7, investigators for the Inspector General's office for the US Department of Education have been trained not to investigate and arrest government employees who violate the public trust, but to terrorize US citizens with ostentatious shows of brute force designed to intimidate them into submission. This is reminiscent of Adolph Hitler's Brown Shirts that bullied the German people on Hitler's rise to absolute power. Makes you wonder just whose Brown Shirts the Department of Education's Black Shirts are.
Which is why, when ABC Channel 10 News in Stockton, California broke what became a leading national story about a Department of Education SWAT team breaking into the home of someone suspected of student loan fraud, America was shocked. When the media reported that it was an Education Department SWAT Team that broke down Kenneth Wright's front door, the reaction went from incredulous to disbelief. And the Channel 10 video news clip went viral.
America was unaware that when the 108th Congress armed what America viewed as institutionalized bureaucrats, the Inspector General's bean counter were required to go through the same intensive Special Forces military-assault law enforcement training that federal and State SWAT teams go through. Why?
Does the federal government believe that the nation's employees who are defrauding their agencies are dangerous thugs who can only be subdued by excessive force? Of course not. They believe conspiracy-oriented citizens of the United States are. In 1993 the Southern Poverty Law Center, viewed by the far left as the most authoritative source in the country on rightwing fanaticism issued a 72-page White Paper branding conservative Americans as enemies of the State. The report, False Patriots: The Threat of Anti-Government Extremists declared that "...the Patriot movement is a potpourri of the American right, from members of the Christian Coalition to the Ku Klux Klan." The South Poverty Law Center now claims there are 1,020 conservative hate groups operating in the United States.
Today, 18 years after that 72- page report, returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan are grouped with the Christian right and those who oppose the shari'azation of America, as threats to democracy. From that perspective, it's no wonder the social progressive federal bureaucracy are arming themselves with government edicts as America's politicians sell their souls to the princes of industry and the barons of banking. They are both worried about the American people—and, perhaps, with reason.
While the US Department of Education insisted the raid at 3243 Jonathen Street in Stockton, California at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7 was not about collecting unpaid student loans but was about searching for evidence of student loan fraud, the early morning raid remains troubling because even if this was a criminal investigation for suspected student loan application fraud, the agents of the Inspector General's Office for the Department of Education used too much force—and heads need too roll for the Nazi Brown Shirt domestic terrorism tactics of the Obama Administration. Both the House Education and Labor Committee and the Senate Subcommittee on Labor, Health, Human Services, and Education need to fully investigate this incident to find out who, besides the Secretary of Education and the head of the Inspector General's Office of the Education Department need to be fired—and force Obama to fire them under threat of impeachment for using Gestapo tactics against the American people.
The United States is not Nazi Germany. Nor is it the Soviet Union, the People's Republic of China, Cuba, North Korea or any number of banana republics or Muslim theocracies that use domestic terrorism to keep their populations in submission. Under the US rule of law, our government does not have the authority to terrorize its people and, whenever they do, the ultimate authority over those following the orders and those who issued them needs to be fired—and prosecuted. As I said, this is not Nazi Germany. Barack Hussein Obama is now emulating Adolph Hitler while pretending to be Franklin D. Roosevelt when what he is, is a Chicago street activist who is completely outside his element of expertise when it comes to solving the problems of this nation and the world. Obama, sadly, has surrounded himself with other inept social progressive activists who are also out of their areas of expertise. This is a worst case scenario example of the blind leading the blind. And, what's most scary, the rest of us are sitting in the Obama Movie Theater with all of the exit doors locked and with someone else about to scream "Fire!"
Okay. Now that I have that off my chest, let's look at the constitutionally prohibited—but federal judge-sanctioned—"rap-and-ram" forcible entry search warrant issued to agents of the Department of Education to enter and search Kenneth Wright's home on Jonathen Street.
Before continuing, it should be noted that the US Supreme Court authorized "rap and ram" entries when police have evidence that the suspects in the dwelling have quantities of illegal drugs which they will dispose of if police have to wait for them to come to the door. And, second, where police have reason to believe the occupants of the dwelling are armed and dangerous, and waiting for someone to answer the door would pose a risk to the lives of the police officers. Theoretically, police aren't supposed to 'rap and ram" simultaneously.
The legal notion was to give the occupant a reasonable amount of time to reach, and open, the door while making the assumption that a normal Olympic marathon runner should be able do that in five seconds flat even though it might take a father of three, sleeping in a bedroom upstairs, one or two minutes or more to descend the stairs and get to the front door before a battering ram destroyed it. Particularly in this instance where the IG agents knew the "suspect" in the house wasn't disposing of illegal drugs, hiding a cache of counterfeit money, or plotting to blow up the White House. They suspected his wife of falsifying an application for a student loan. That is something a sane government sends one IG agent and a local police officer to investigate and, if needed, to exercise a search warrant.
By the way. I wonder if it means anything that Barack Obama signed legislation on March 30, 2010 which ended a 45-year old program under which banks and private sector lenders like Sallie Mae received federal subsidies for making government-guaranteed college loans and where the federal government was a minority shareholder in the loan? Effective July 1 last year, the US Department of Education, which began making student loans under the Federal Family Education Loan Program in 1994, assumed 100% of them. Under the 1965 federal student loan program, the rate of interest charged by banks and other private sector lenders was 8.5% while the Department of Education loans were financed at 7.9%. When the Department of Education took over the student loan program, they assured borrowers they will continue to get the same loans including Stafford Loans for students and Plus Loans for parents and graduate students on largely the same terms. Only the Department of Education has a more sophisticated collection system.
Regardless if the early morning raid on Kenneth Wright's home was about unpaid student loans or an attempt by Michelle Wright, the estranged wife of the home's occupant, to defraud the government by providing them with inaccurate or even blatantly false information when she applied for a student loan, the government did not need to do what neighbors said happened.
At least a dozen federal agents crashed through his front door. They dragged Wright out of the house in his boxer shorts and a T-shirt, handcuffed him and threw him to the ground before finally putting him in the back seat of a police car—where he remained for some 6 hours. But, once again, the most shocking statement in the bizarre media news report was whose SWAT team it was. The armed federal agents, Stockton Channel 10 ABC News reported, were agents from the US Department of Education. And remember this—just because Congress authorizes something does not necessarily mean their actions are Constitutional. Remember this also. Two US District Courts found provisions in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 to be unconstitutional, and a three judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is now weighing the constitutionality of Obamacare.
When everything else is said and done, the question tossed about over the last decade or two by the Southern Poverty Law Center's designated rightwing extremists: "Has America become a police state?" This may have been answered on June 7. With the enactment of the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act [USA Patriot Act] Congress began the covert task of dismantling the Bill of Rights by making the inherent rights of US citizens conditioned on the needs and mandates of government. With the re-authorization of the Patriot Act on May 26, 2011, Congress drove a stake through the heart of the Bill of Rights, violating six of the first 10 amendments: the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Amendments. America should have heeded the words of the Founding Fathers, particularly Thomas Paine who said: "It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government."
And now you know why the Department of Education sent a SWAT team to 3243 Jonathen Street in Stockton, California at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7. Ironically, the Department of Education was educating the masses of America to fear their government more than the government fears them. And, of course, condition them to obey the edicts of government without questioning whether or not they are constitutional. When you say the word 'timeless', you have to agree this clip from Johnny Carson is just that. It was originally broadcast in 1982, but is as accurate today, 28 years later, as it was then.

Below are a few comments I've gleaned from Townhall and othe online commentators, edited for content.
"If I'd heard the following words, instead of reading them, I might have assumed they were being delivered by a President Obama impressionist on 'Saturday Night Live.' But the words were from Obama himself in his latest weekly radio address. 'I wish I could tell you there was a quick fix to our economic problems,' he said. 'But the truth is we didn't get into this mess overnight, and we won't get out of it overnight. It's going to take time.' Obama has repeated this line ad nauseam ever since it became impossible to deny that reality had shattered his arrogant guarantee, more than two years ago, that he would keep unemployment below 8 percent if we would just pass his $800 billion 'stimulus' package. At the same time, he also introduced his phantom metric of 'creating or saving' 3.5 million jobs -- a device that was as bloated with sophistry as Bill Clinton's verbal gyrations with the word 'is.' Though the claim is as improvable as it is immeasurable, our sustained horrendous unemployment levels nevertheless render it insultingly ludicrous on its face. ... [B]ack at the real White House, Obama dithers and points fingers. Oh, yes, he perfunctorily apologizes from time to time for not making jobs his first priority, but then he continues not to make them his first priority, until it's time for the next speech to blame Bush again. And so it goes."
The above clearly illustrates the attitude of many pundits who apparently don't really think BO evil nor socialist nor that he is advancing his agenda just as he wishes regardless or because of his actions and rhetoric. I firmly believe BO is a socialist without conscience whose top priotity is the destruction of America and it's worldwide influence. I also think he is succeeding beyond his wildest dreams in no small part because he is supported by US media that is also leftist and supportive of the idea the the US is evil therefore in need of destruction. I used to watch the Evening news channels regularly, more recently FoxNews, but find ALL socialist in their views and generally critical of the good AMerica dies and has done for decades. They all disgust me.

Though the US Gov't refused to admit it, inflation during these two past years has run aproximately 14%. The National Debt has expaded at a rate incomprehensible to the average man leaving every man,woman, and child in America responsible for $50,ooo or so present indebtedness that is growing rapidly year by year as the interest accrues.
If BO and the Dem Congress had given everyone in Anerica a million dollars to do with as they pleased, the total debt would have been half of the present, everyone could have invested or spent the monies as they pleased, bought new GM/Chrysler cars, new houses, paid off their personal debts, the banks would have had all the monies they needed in their vaults, and the economy would be growing by leaps and bounds. Instead, BO paid off his cronies, big business, the Unions, and saddled the nation with incredible debt. It seems obvious Democrats simply have no comprehension how to run a nation or what to do to handle the monies and obligations Congress has. They simply need to be irradicated, politically of course.
When it comes to commentary of GOP candidates that have not yet announced for the Presidency, the following conversation is all too typical. NO politician is lilly white, squeeky clean but many really do not have any great amount of hidden baggage despite the left's attempts to depict them that-a-way. Not Herman Cain, not Bauchman, Not Sarah Palin, not Rick Perry, etc.
However, you can find lots of debris around Bill Clinton, BO, Hillary, and many other Dem candidates. It just isn't published nearly as often.
Them: Well, yes, but on Perry, the big downside (their voice grows deeper and whispering) is all his personal baggage. You know what I mean.
ME: No. THEM: Well, he has all sorts of problems and they'll destroy him with it. That's why I don't think he'll get in. Everybody in Texas knows about this stuff.
Truth be told, I hear this about this with every candidate. Every Republican Presidential candidates is a closet homosexual who engages in mass orgies with women and boys while keeping multiple mistresses on the side hidden from their wives all while funneling highway contracts to their best friends for a kickback. Even BO, Yup, there is a homo claiming BO has gay sex regularly at the WH and Blacks celebrate man on man sex in Africa. Every Republican is like that if you believe those candidates' opponents, even within the Republican Party. The things the Dems say are always outrageous and nearly always not just lies but efforts to blacken any and all not leftists. Rarely do these rumors ever actually become true on either side. Here's some things about Perry and why I typically call bull on all these unsubstantiated rumors. Rick Perry was first elected to the Texas Senate in 1984. In 1990, Perry challenged the incumbent Agriculture Commissioner of Texas and won. He was re-elected in 1994. In 1998, Perry ran for and was elected Lt. Governor of Texas, then replaced George W. Bush when Bush became President. Perry was elected Governor in his own right in 2002, again in 2006, and again last year. Last year's race saw Perry face Kay Bailey Hutchison, a ruthless politician who was backed by the Bushies with a unified front and Karl Rove, who trained under Lee Atwater. None of the evil, awful Rick Perry skeletons ever made it out of the closet even against all that. So we can keep playing the "Rick Perry has skeletons" game, but the odds are pretty damn good if there are any skeletons they'll stay in the closet. Any real or actual evil happenings would have been long ago published over and over.
