Subject: Dick Armey Statement
------
Armey: Gingrich on 'Vendetta' Against Romney Sunday, 05 Feb 2012 12:09 PM By
Amy Woods --Former congressman and current Freedom Works Chairman Dick Armey
said he's given up on trying to get a conservative Republican in the White
House and instead is focusing on the House and the Senate. "We are left
with the dilemma that we are not going to get a reliable, small-government
conservative out of this nominating process," Armey said Sunday on CNN's
"State of the Union." "That's why we've focused our attention on
the House and Senate. "We'll build a legislative wall. We'll either be
walling a Republican president in or walling a Democratic president out."

He slammed Gingrich by saying the second-place finisher in the Nevada caucus
won't "be able to repeat that magic moment he had in South Carolina"
and then criticized him for lashing our against Mitt Romney during his
post-election speech. "I think he's digressed into a state of taking a
second-rate campaign and turning it in to a first-rate vendetta," Armey
said. "So much of Newt's whole life is overstated. He overstates the case
in such a hyperbolic fashion, it just looks vindictive."

I favor Rick Santorum as he is the single most conservative and consistent candidate.
None are perfect but Gingrich and Romney are neither as conservative as they claim
and Ron Paul is either insane or an idiot despite some of his better ideas.

Subject: Dick Morris: Ron Paul 'Terrifying', Romney's 'Apostasies'
------
"Ron Paul remains terrifying. He is really the ultimate liberal in the race.
He wants to legalize drugs, repeal the Patriot Act, slash our military
spending, pull out of Afghanistan... On these issues, he's way, way to the
left of Obama. What makes him a conservative is hard to tell. But, whatever
he is, he would be a disaster as the Republican candidate. His bland
assertion in the last debate, that 'anyone' will beat Obama is both
self-serving and inaccurate. He wouldn't. Anyone who votes for Paul and is
not brought up short by his denuding us in our defenses against terrorism and
his passivity in the face of Iranian nuclear weapons, has to realize that
nominating him is tantamount to re-electing Obama."

Morris notes that while Newt Gingrich leads as the favorite candidate among
Tea Party Patriots polled, a splintering effect among more conservative
candidates continues to help Romney.

The latest conservative-leaning candidate to see a surge is Rick Santorum,
Morris says.

But Morris predicts that support for Romney will wane as a "buyer's remorse
may set in," especially as Republican primary voters realize they are backing
the candidate who instituted Romneycare, a program similar to President
Obama's healthcare plan.

As conservatives realize a vote for any conservative other than Gingrich is a
vote for Romney, Morris predicts a Gingrich come back.

Gingrich: 3rd Party May Clip GOP in 2012

Constitution Party Likely New Home for Conservatives

Lancaster, PA (April 6, 2009) The county's fastest-growing third party, the Constitution Party, cites former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's warning that conservatives may opt for a third party ( http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0409/20809.html) as further indication that voters will continue to look beyond the "Big Box" parties.

"If the Republicans can't break out of being the right wing party of big government, then I think you would see a third party movement in 2012, Gingrich said during an address to students at the College of the Ozarks in Missouri.

Formed in 1992, the Constitution Party has seen increasing numbers of voters switching party affiliation while recording the largest number of new registrations of any party, according to the independent voting analysis publication Ballot Access News .

"Voters used to think they'd be wasting their votes by voting for a third party candidate" said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer. "Those days appear to be over. I ask those wondering about the third party option how long they think it will take to get the kind of government they believe in, if they keep voting for people who won't support their views," Clymer added, reminding "conservatives" who voted for George W. Bush that their support made possible "Bush's rush toward a fascist economy and a tyrannical federal government and laid the perfect groundwork for Obama to finish the job."

The Constitution Party points out why major party faithful are feeling betrayed noting the Republicans failed voters on hot button issues like immigration, privacy, civil liberties and spending and the Democrats failed their base on the war and the  so-called "Bailouts."

The Constitution Party's 2008 presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin was endorsed by former GOP presidential candidate, one of the few constitutionally-correct members of Congress, Rep. Ron Paul. CNN's Lou Dobbs interviewed Baldwin and told his viewers he had a "reason to vote for (Baldwin)." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-DyfFa0tZg)

Clymer, like Gingrinch, believes true conservatives will finally leave the GOP in 2012, noting the lukewarm response to GOP presidential candidate Senator John McCain by party faithful who saw little difference between the two contenders: "… John McCain , if he had won, would likely have promoted the same causes that Obama is pursuing and perhaps would have a more successful record in the results because the Republican faithful would be obliged to go right along with him.""Now that fully of all voters label themselves "independent"  the new  base is neither Republican nor Democrat…so 2012 is up for grabs!", predicted Clymer.
