Negroes with guns

Liberals have leapt on the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida to push for the repeal of "stand your ground" laws and to demand tighter gun control. (MSNBC'S Karen Finney blamed "the same people who stymied gun regulation at every point.")
This would be like demanding more funding for the General Services Administration after seeing how its employees blew taxpayer money on a party weekend in Las Vegas.
We don't know the facts yet, but let's assume the conclusion MSNBC is leaping to is accurate: George Zimmerman stalked a small black child and murdered him in cold blood, just because he was black.
If that were true, every black person in America should get a gun and join the National Rifle Association, America's oldest and most august civil rights organization.
Apparently this has occurred to no one because our excellent public education system ensures that no American under the age of 60 has the slightest notion of this country's history.
Gun control laws were originally promulgated by Democrats to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. This allowed the Democratic policy of slavery to proceed with fewer bumps and, after the Civil War, allowed the Democratic Ku Klux Klan to menace and murder black Americans with little resistance.
(Contrary to what illiterates believe, the KKK was an outgrowth of the Democratic Party, with overlapping membership rolls. The Klan was to the Democrats what the American Civil Liberties Union is today: Not every Democrat is an ACLU'er, but every ACLU'er is a Democrat. Same with the Klan.)
In 1640, the very first gun control law ever enacted on these shores was passed in Virginia. It provided that blacks -- even freemen -- could not own guns.
Chief Justice Roger Taney's infamous opinion in Dred Scott v. Sandford circularly argued that blacks could not be citizens because if they were citizens, they would have the right to own guns: "[I]t would give them the full liberty," he said, "to keep and carry arms wherever they went."

With logic like that, Republicans eventually had to fight a Civil War to get the Democrats to give up slavery.
Alas, they were Democrats, so they cheated.
After the war, Democratic legislatures enacted "Black Codes," denying black Americans the right of citizenship -- such as the rather crucial one of bearing arms -- while other Democrats (sometimes the same Democrats) founded the Ku Klux Klan.
For more than a hundred years, Republicans have aggressively supported arming blacks, so they could defend themselves against Democrats.
The original draft of the Anti-Klan Act of 1871 -- passed at the urging of Republican president Ulysses S. Grant -- made it a federal felony to "deprive any citizen of the United States of any arms or weapons he may have in his house or possession for the defense of his person, family, or property." This section was deleted from the final bill only because it was deemed both beyond Congress' authority and superfluous, inasmuch as the rights of citizenship included the right to bear arms.
Under authority of the Anti-Klan Act, President Grant deployed the U.S. military to destroy the Klan, and pretty nearly completed the job.
But the Klan had a few resurgences in the early and mid-20th century. Curiously, wherever the Klan became a political force, gun control laws would suddenly appear on the books.
This will give you an idea of how gun control laws worked. Following the firebombing of his house in 1956, Dr. Martin Luther King, who was, among other things, a Christian minister, applied for a gun permit, but the Alabama authorities found him unsuitable. A decade later, he won a Nobel Peace Prize.
How's that "may issue" gun permit policy working for you?
The NRA opposed these discretionary gun permit laws and proceeded to grant NRA charters to blacks who sought to defend themselves from Klan violence -- including the great civil rights hero Robert F. Williams.
A World War II Marine veteran, Williams returned home to Monroe, N.C., to find the Klan riding high -- beating, lynching and murdering blacks at will. No one would join the NAACP for fear of Klan reprisals. Williams became president of the local chapter and increased membership from six to more than 200.
But it was not until he got a charter from the NRA in 1957 and founded the Black Armed Guard that the Klan got their comeuppance in Monroe.
Williams' repeated thwarting of violent Klan attacks is described in his stirring book, "Negroes With Guns." In one crucial battle, the Klan sieged the home of a black physician and his wife, but Williams and his Black Armed Guard stood sentry and repelled the larger, cowardly force. And that was the end of it.
As the Klan found out, it's not so much fun when the rabbit's got the gun.
The NRA's proud history of fighting the Klan has been airbrushed out of the record by those who were complicit with the KKK, Jim Crow and racial terror, to wit: the Democrats.
In the preface to "Negroes With Guns," Williams writes: "I have asserted the right of Negroes to meet the violence of the Ku Klux Klan by armed self-defense -- and have acted on it. It has always been an accepted right of Americans, as the history of our Western states proves, that where the law is unable, or unwilling, to enforce order, the citizens can, and must act in self-defense against lawless violence."
Contrary to MSNBC hosts, I do not believe the shooting in Florida is evidence of a resurgent KKK. But wherever the truth lies in that case, gun control is always a scheme of the powerful to deprive the powerless of the right to self-defense.

Muhammad Hates Diversity, by Ben Shapiro, Townhall.com

This week, in Oakland, Calif., America saw yet another stellar example of the glories of diversity. At a taping of a rap music video in that fair city, eight people, including a one-year-old child, were shot. When a classical music video goes wrong, somebody busts a string. When a rap music video goes wrong, somebody busts a cap.

Such observations, however, are now taboo. We're not supposed to suggest that the rap culture is any different from the classical music culture or that one is better than another. As white guy John Kerry put it, "I think there's a lot of poetry in it. There's a lot of anger, a lot of social energy in it. And I think you'd better listen to it pretty carefully, 'cause it's important ... it's a reflection of the street and it's a reflection of life."

You see, we recognize the value of diversity. And what's more, we think everyone else does, too. Hence the left's certainty that the election of President Barack Obama would win over the Muslim world -- his very ascendance would show the rest of the world that we find their cultures charming, praiseworthy and delightfully fascinating. "It's November 2008," wrote formerly-sane Andrew Sullivan of The Atlantic. "A young Pakistani Muslim is watching television and sees this man -- Barack Hussein Obama -- is the new face of America. In one simple image, America's soft power has been ratcheted up not a notch, but a logarithm."

There's only one problem: The Muslim world isn't hung up on skin color the way we are. Which isn't to say they're not racist -- they're busily snatching up black children for use as slaves or murdering them in Sudan, even as the BBC blithely claims, in the name of diversity, that "While Islamic law does allow slavery under certain conditions, it's almost inconceivable that those conditions could ever occur in today's world, and so slavery is effectively illegal in modern Islam." In point of fact, Muslim countries in Africa and the Middle East lead the world in human trafficking.

The Muslim world just doesn't believe that skin color is all that important. Obama may be half-black, but he's still all-Western, according to them. It doesn't matter whether you're black, white or green -- if you're not a devotee of Muhammad, you don't matter. While the West tries to turn its civilization into cultural variety hour, Islam tries to turn Muslim lands into a cultural monolith. The same West that justifies the rap culture thinks that every Muslim terrorist bombing is an expression of economic angst or social alienation. Muslims recognize that terrorist bombings are expressions of a completely different worldview.

In other words, Muslims aren't stupid. They won't be wooed by a West headed by a man rich in melanin any more than a West headed by a Caucasian dude who enjoys the artistic stylings of Bjork would. When President Obama offers Iran an open hand, they slap it away, even though his hand is a different color than President Bush's was.

And the left is stumped. Obama's entire foreign policy was predicated on the notion that by existing, he would bridge all gaps and bury all hatchets. Instead, the Muslim world burns his picture even as he tells them he respects their radicalism. It turns out that diversity is a one-way street for the devotees of global Islam.

What of the West? We have been enervated by our confident feeling that if we could all just respect each other's cultures -- no matter how perverse -- we could beat missiles into plowshares. And if we could show the rest of the world just how much we respect other cultures by electing an emissary of foreign cultures, they would have to love us. We've turned into the world's Sally Field: "You like us! You really like us!" To which the Muslim world says, "No. We really don't."

But, like an obsessive, abused ex-girlfriend, we keep coming back for more. We beg for the beating. We plead for it. We are Keira Knightley's character in "A Dangerous Method" -- the beating excites us. For with every beating, we feel the open hand we seek. "At least they're reaching out to us ... with bombs! If we could only understand this unique form of communication, we'd finally be able to come to some sort of agreement!"

The Muslim world understands that it has us by the ideological throat. They will continue to preach the value of diversity from their outposts in the West, while wiping away any semblance of it across their own lands. And we will buy into it. This is how the West dies: not by being defeated in all-out civilizational battle, but by walking into the hail of bullets, arms outstretched.

Unbeliavable, Mexican Consulate People on Public School Grounds in CA

Real Americans are in deep trouble!  Mexican officials are ordering Americans around on U.S. soil, and it appears that there is not much we can do about it.

The Santa Ana, CA, Mexican Consulate setup a mobile Mexican Matricula Consular ID center on UNITED STATES PUBLIC SCHOOL PROPERTY- Capistrano School District at the Adult English Language Development Center located at 31351 Camino Real, San Juan Capistrano, CA.
The fee is $27 per matricula consular application.

After the Minutemen had been onsite for about an hour and a half, the mobile center was shut down - above photo.
Once Minutemen began to observe and report, documenting and photographing. The Mexican Nationals no longer ventured forth to the center and many, who had been in attendance, left the mobile center.

"Oh," she agreed. " Mexico has a very good immigration policy."

The Mexican diplomat was particularly vexed by our photographing of the event.  " DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS," she commanded repeatedly.?
Minutemen stated that in the USA , we have the right to photograph in public.
"No, you cannot take photos," she insisted. Herrera and the diplomat then entered into a lengthy discussion in Spanish.

The man, above photo, displayed gang hand signals and yelled out "THIS IS OUR TERRITORY!" The Mexican diplomat witnessed and seemingly approved of the gang member at the "Mexican Only" event.

He appeared to be filling out an application - in his left hand above.  Many have informally been told that in the Hispanic community only gang members wear black shoes. Note in the photo above, the only man in black shoes is the self-professed gang member.

Suddenly the door above opened, and the Mexican diplomat, came out yelling. The photo above is just before she lashed out.
cid:19.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
To our utter amazement, the diplomat started to strike out at the Minutewoman!  We were in a state of shock. As she yelled, she struck across the Minutewoman's lower right jaw and lip, several times.
The Minutewoman above, in her left hand, used her sign as a shield, while pulling her camera back from the assaulting Mexican diplomat
Ten minutes after the assault the Minutewoman still had a "stinging" sensation on her lip and jaw area.

POLICE ARRIVE
Police arrived after the assault.
The police said they had been called by the consulate as they had reported that the Minutemen were inside the building yelling and pushing about. We never entered the building and had been quietly moving outside, on school property.

cid:20.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
Herrera spoke with officers then requested they interview the diplomat.
Per the officer's request, the diplomat came forward.
cid:21.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.comcid:22.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
"They must leave," she said to the officer. But the officer replied, "No, this is a public school and they can be here."
cid:23.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
The diplomat then said that we must stop photographing them.
"Ma'am," the officer informed her, "You are in a public area and they can photograph."
cid:24.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
The officer then asked her, "Do you have the paperwork to use this facility."
"Yes," she replied.
"I would like to see it," the officer said,
cid:25.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
"I don't have the paperwork with me," she said back to him.

cid:26.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
"I would like to see your identification, " the officer said.

cid:27.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
"No, you can't," she said to the officer. The officer at this point followed her inside of the building.
"I have no identification with me.  I did not drive,"she finally said as the officer pursued the issue.  At this point, the door shut and the officer remained inside of the building.

OFFICER ON THE PHONE

cid:28.4157022958@web33704.mail.mud.yahoo.com
After the officer spoke with the diplomat, he returned to his vehicle and spoke on his cell phone for about 15 to 20 minutes.
After he hung up, he met with us. He said the consulate did not have paperwork but that he had spoken to the individual who had granted the use of the school. He said that we could continue to assemble on the school property.
He appeared sympathetic about the Minutewoman assault, but said the Mexican Consulate staff had diplomatic immunity.

In Obama We Trust? Here is an intelligent article well worth reading, particularly by Christians

In Obama We Trust?

By Robin of Berkeley
I grew up in a home where God was MIA.  I don't remember religion being mentioned except occasional references to some sort of God and a heaven. While my family was proud of their ethnicity, they didn't practice the religion.  Aside from the requisite Bar Mitvahs, they never set foot in a synagogue.

My parents did worship at the altar of pleasure. They loved to party; they lived for the times they'd go out with their large, rowdy group, and dance and drink the night away.

I'm not sure why my parents were such party animals. It was probably a way to escape the past, the memories of which were permanently etched on the mournful faces of my grandparents.

The past: Atrocities in Tsarist Russia. Poverty in the U.S. Tiny, noisy tenements in New York City; ghettos of immigrants from Ireland, Italy and Eastern Europe huddled together.

My father's dad, desperate for money during the Great Depression, accepted a dollar to name my father after another man's deceased loved one.

Brazen anti Semitism; recurrent chants of "dirty Jew." WWII; the enormity of the death camps and the guilt of being safely sheltered.

My father, with a little money saved from working 12 hour days, reinvented himself.  He changed his Yiddish sounding name to something WASP'y, and moved the family to a look alike, tract house in the 'burbs. While the lifestyle was modest compared to middle America today, my parents were euphoric, a state that continued even into old age.

Escapees from the ghetto, no longer targets, my parents finally felt like true Americans.   They were happy as clams in their perfect, sanitized life of black and white TVs, a washer and dryer, frozen vegetables, and luxuries like bottled salad dressing.

When I think about my dad, I remember how he ate.  Every morsel, whether formerly boxed or canned, was exquisitely delicious, and he savored each bite, murmuring "Mmm, mmm,"  like a man just rescued from starvation.

My parents worked hard during the week, and then weekends traveled the cocktail party circuit, dancing the night away.  They were in perpetual adolescence, recreating their lost childhood.

Meanwhile, I was a latchkey kid before the phrase was coined.    With my only hobby being shopping, I occupied myself with my friends, the Addams Family, the Brady Bunch, Ed Sullivan, and Patty Duke.  When I was a teen, it became mind numbing sex and drugs and rock and roll.

Weekends there was so little to do that I slept in until 1 pm. Occasionally I would tag along on a Sunday with my best friend and her family who went on outings.  I was astonished that an entire family went out in the car for activities like picnics and museums.

It was a flat, colorless childhood with no strong arms to guide me. I drifted along the best I could, like a lone, unguarded leaf.

College was a blur of hook ups, hard drugs, and parties as I was speeding headfirst into disaster. Mercifully, in my early 20's, I found my way to a few decent boyfriends who had brains and I gained some myself, giving up my untamed habits along the way.

I settled down with my husband, Jon, a bookish type, who came from a family the polar opposite of mine.  Jon still jokes (?) that he helped raise me.

Often Jon would drag me to talks by other brainiacs, where I would summarily nod off.  But I like to think I absorbed something in between snoozes.

Eventually my life took shape: around my career as a psychotherapist and my leftist crusades to change the world. I found religion, or perhaps it found me.

I had just turned 30, an event that had given me the willies. Perusing a book by Buddhist teacher Chogyam Trungpa in a bookstore, I was entranced by the novel idea that happiness is not the goal of existence, but the byproduct of a life well lived; that the purpose of life was truth not pleasure.

I started studying Eastern religion with a fervor, especially books by Trungpa and Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh), and even called myself a Buddhist until I shed most of my old identities a few years ago. I became more of a heavyweight, able to look at the big ticket items of life -- mortality, illness, and suffering -- because I was safely nestled in the world of the Spirit.

I remember the moment I discovered God, in my 30's, when Jon and I were on vacation.  I was reading a light novel, and he, of course, was studying some heavy tome. When I perused it and saw it was a religious book, I asked him, "Do you believe in God?"  (Yes I know it's bizarre that it took l0 years for the subject to come up.)

I was bowled over when Jon said, "Yes." (He was also raised secular, and had never previously mentioned the G word.) My eyes welled up with tears. I realized that I did too.

I've been thinking a lot lately about the factors in my life that lured me far Left for so long;  what captivated me and held me there even with mounting evidence that the ideology was bankrupt.  And why are millions still following the Pied Piper of Chicago, even though he's looking increasingly more corrupt and vacuous?

And I've come to this: the Left is filled to the brim with people like me, who grew up in homes with God in permanent exile and various adults floating in and out in hot pursuit of self fulfillment. With no way to understand life, this realm starts looking like an unmanageable House of Horrors. The result: people turn to someone like Obama to engineer a whole new world.

So we have a situation today with the Left in charge, preaching their religion which is anti-religion. Their dogmas are so harsh that they make the Torah look like a light summer read. The Left's missionaries are trying to tame the savages (stupid white people) just as the missionaries of old traveled abroad to tame the savages.

But, as survivors of Jonestown learned, a religion without a beneficent God firmly in place, is a cult, and can destroy lives.  Those spiritual teachers I admired when I was young, Osho and Trungpa?  They turned out to be major pervs.  They slept with their students, even encouraged violence against them. Both died as a result of their depravity.

Without some type of faith, people can remain in a state of ravenous hunger, as needy and frightened as a little lost child.  They're looking for something, but all the roads are blocked off.  The only door leading to safety has been shut in their faces by a society that rejects the Sacred.

So the masses flock to Obama because he offers them meaning and a way to organize a chaotic universe. People believe he's some kind of Messiah because they're frantic for a Prophet to create a heaven on earth.

I saw a blog where a young person posts, "I have pictures of Obama on my wall. He gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning."  There are no rational arguments about bailouts and taxes that will counteract this desperation for purpose.

Our culture offers youth nothing of substance to carve out a dignified life.  In the place of spiritual and intellectual richness, we pump them up with noxious television shows and films, texting and sexting, addiction to Facebook, and lots of drugs. We may have created a Generation N, for Nihilism.

And it's not just the young.  Baby boomers are being dragged kicking and screaming into old age, without any spiritual guideposts and within a culture that fears and despises anything old. In ancient times, elders were revered as the cultural wellspring of wisdom and tradition.

But in most of the First World, older people are as disposable as yesterday's trash.   How unacceptable to grow old in a culture that finds no grace, only disgrace, in wrinkles, and wants to hustle you out the door as soon as possible.

Baby boomers are also dancing to Obama's beat, enveloped in feelings of hope and change, holding on for dear life to their long lost youth. But it's not the real 60's with its hard drugs, violence, and exploitation of women, but a fantasy, frozen in time, of peace and flower power.

I understand the draw of Obama and liberalism and changing the world because I know what it is like when life has no other meaning. I understand how unbearable it is when not only one's parents but God is MIA and school is a forbidding place, and drugs only temporarily blunt the pain.

And I know the feeling of being so depressed that you grab onto anything -- whether it's a bottle or a relationship or a guru -- anything that eases the despair, and you won't let go, even when the consequences keep mounting.  You won't let go until you find your way to the truth.

And I know what it's like to wake up from the fog, to shake off the dread, and to find that I'm strong enough to walk on my own two feet and that a Higher Power lifts and carries me when I'm too weak to stand.

If we as a culture don't find our way back to those young and old who are lost in space, adrift and unanchored, they will embrace false idols.  For as long as Obama is the only game in town, the only way people can feel alive and hopeful,  they'll ignore every red flag and defend Obama until their last dying breath. They must believe in him. The alternative is just too unbearable.

A frequent AT contributor, Robin is a recovering liberal and a psychotherapist in Berkeley.

The Wrong Rights

The Wrong Rights

No single definition of "Rights" is accepted by all. Previously, our constitution was our one common denominator uniting all talk of political rights. A “RIGHT” creates expectation of behavior showing respect for those rights. Law requires specific duties as well as behavior concerning each right. The appointment of Sonia Sotomayor by Barack Obama to the Supreme Court elevates discussion of “rights” to the highest possible level.

Linking rights with duties forms the basis of our legal system. The Rights that concerned our founding fathers enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, are often called Liberties allowing us to act in certain ways or justify claims we should be treated in particular ways. They also are duties of non-interference, by individuals and government, hence, they are often called Negative Rights because they require there are certain ways others are not to act toward them.

Simply put, having a right to life, you are not to kill me. Property rights mean you cannot take my possessions from me. To fully exercise duties with respect to these rights, you simply do nothing! If you walk past me on the street while I am using my cell-phone and do nothing, you have effectively respected my property rights to it.

There is a quite different class of rights which arose under FDR, "Welfare Rights", and duty requires positive actions to secure these rights for their possessor. Example: If any have positive rights to decent housing and a job paying a living wage, others (government) have a duty to provide these things for all. Conservatives are very suspicious of the existence of these Rights, particularly since they require taking from those that have and giving to those who do not, a socialist form of government.

BO recognized these distinctions in a 2001 radio interview where he stated that the Warren Court was not radical enough because, "it didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution." The problem, as Obama sees it, was the interpretation of the Constitution as a "charter of negative liberties [rights]." As such, the document tells states and federal government what they "can't do to you" but does not say "what they must do on your behalf."

In appointing Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, the President hopes she will be a justice who will push the Court to break free of those constitutional constraints which bind the Supreme Court. Only then can the High Court deal with issues of "redistribution of wealth" and "political and economic justice."

BO views Negative and Positive Rights like so many vegetables in a basket, where adding or subtracting one doesn't matter. As our Founding Fathers were careful to make sure there were enough Negative Rights in the basket, we now need activist judges like Ms. Sotomayor to make sure enough Positive Rights are thrown in as well, the “empathy” of socialism.

Unfortunately, the "Basket of Rights" analogy is all wrong! Positive and Negative Rights work against and cancel each other out. To service my supposed right to a living wage, government must infringe upon property rights of employers through higher taxes and regulatory constraints on business decisions (causing things like the current housing financial crisis.) To enforce supposed positive rights to a clean environment, government must severely restrict rights of those deemed wrong doers - imposing ruinous carbon taxes on some in a bogus effort to support such discredited theories as "global warming." Enforcing a universal health care (or abortion on demand) as a Positive Right will require rationing that threatens some patients' very right to life.

Another analogy would be that of positive and negative electrical charges or positive and negative numbers. Adding them together cancels out both. Rather than believing positive rights were simply neglected by the Founding Fathers, it seems likely that BO believes that Ms. Sotomayor's role is to force the High Court to break free altogether of constitutional constraints on such "rights" shunned by its authors. To an originalist, this is even scarier. Socialism never works.

The Tea Party Tax Revolution

The Tea Party Tax Revolution

It is simply amazing how great are the spontaneous numbers of people responding to the national “Tea Party” revolution scheduled all over the country on April 15th of 2009, a nationwide protest in 500 cities and towns. Past events have largely been gatherings of people venting frustration over a variety of tax issues, carrying signs such as "Tar and feather Washington" and "Spread my work ethic, not my wealth." I expect the 4/15 event to be much the same though larger.

Organizers say they were not pleased by former president George W. Bush's performance on spending, either, but what moved them from yelling at the TV to rallying in the streets was Obama's proposed $3.6 trillion budget, a package the Congressional Budget Office says would produce record-breaking deficits of $9.3 trillion over 10 years. The fury is palpable. The Tea Parties are merely beginning.

The Information Age has given people the ability to network as never before. In that sense, the Tea Party movement resembles the early days of MoveOn.org, which began in 1998 as a small, tech-savvy liberal group and became a behemoth in Internet fundraising and rallying. "Conservatives are catching up on the tools," says Ilyse Hogue, MoveOn.org's spokeswoman. She was dismissive of the several hundred events the Tea Party organizers plan for Wednesday, saying her group routinely mobilizes many more.

Nevertheless, Jenny Beth Martin, a former paid consultant for local Republican candidates, says the strength of the Tea Party movement is the emergence of many people not known for street action. "It's not your hippie protesters," she says. "It's people who are working hard for their families and they don't want their money taken away from them to be given to people who aren't working hard." An activist, Meckler, says, "They're supposed to energize a group of new activists, show them there are people much like themselves."

Dawn Wildman of San Diego, who is organizing four tea parties, says lawmakers should not be dismissive. "We're seeing how you vote," she says. "You're not paying attention to your constituency. We put you there, and we can take you out." In fact, there at least are two Facebook “causes” that are calling for the removal (via ballot box, of course) of all current sitting congress people.

There is opposition as well, to this movement. Arianna Huffington, founder of the left-wing Huffington Post blog, wrote that “Internet hooligans are spewing their talking points to thwart the dissent of the newly-out-of-power… Political leftists play for keeps. They are willing to lie, perform deceptive acts in a coordinated fashion and do so in a wicked way - all in the pursuit of victory.” I do believe this woman has a handle on how the left handles things it doesn’t like.

There should be Tea Parties in Springfield, Branson, St’ Louis, Kansas City, and Columbia , MO, at least, perhaps more. I have read Tea Parties are scheduled in Little Rock, Ft.Smith, Fayetteville, and West Memphis in Arkansas. Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, and Knoxville in TN are all hosting Tea Parties as well. It remains to be seen just how large the movement is to become and just how effective the protests will carry over at the ballot boxes but, if talk radio and the internet bloggers have their desires, we’ll be looking at a new congress after the next election. None too soon for me. Clearly, our present sets of representatives aren’t doing their jobs very well.
