With “Friends” Like These, Who Needs Democrats?

Contrary to what you’ve heard from the liberal media and the Republican Party establishment, which are becoming virtually indistinguishable these days if you ask me, the Todd Akin saga isn’t about his much-maligned mangled comments.

In politics there’s often the right reason people do things, and then there is the real reason they do things. Sure, the Republican Party establishment that funds the Obama Regime’s unconstitutional schemes (including Obamacare), and mostly sits on its hands while our freedoms and liberties are being lost, will sanctimoniously tell us Akin has to go because he could cost Republicans control of the U.S. Senate.

But if that’s the standard now, then maybe it’s Mitt Romney who should go, since there are currently better odds on Intrade the Republicans will capture the Senate than Romney will capture the White House.

No, that may be their “right” reason for aiding and abetting the liberal media’s attempt to marginalize a man with a 100% pro-life voting record as a Congressman. But that’s not the “real” reason.

The existence of pro-life champions like Akin exposes the fact that the Republican nominee for president is not pro-life but really pro-choice. It’s just that he wants far fewer options for killing children than an open infanticidist like President Obama does. Akin would look at women like Michigan attorney and pro-life warrior Rebecca Kiessling, who was conceived in a rape and is now a pro-life warrior, and say her life is just as precious and valuable as is a child conceived within the joys of holy matrimony.

Candidates like Akin won’t be content with settling for fewer innocent deaths while in office, but instead will push to protect every person’s right to life as the 5th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution commands (and as Romney’s running mate Paul Ryan has done as a U.S. Congressman). On the other hand, Romney cynically looks at a woman like Kiessling and says winning the election is more important than your life, and all the lives your life would impact.

Candidates of conviction like Akin believe they have a moral obligation to persuade others to their principles to win the election. Politicians of position like Romney will just adopt whatever principles the polls tell them they need to have to win. And an increasingly cynical American electorate is tired of it, as is the conservative grassroots rallying behind Akin as we speak. Groups like Family Research Council, American Family Association, and Personhood USA have come to Akin’s aid. Nationally-known names like Mike Huckabee have come to Akin’s defense while other so-called conservative icons and heroes have either run for cover or piled on to assist the liberal lynch mob.

Shame on them.

While Romney was for healthcare mandates, abortion, pro-homosexual policies that infringe on religious liberty, gun control, and global warming, Rep. Akin was one of the most reliable conservative votes (96%) in the U.S. Congress according to the American Conservative Union. But now it’s suddenly Akin who is the goat and Romney is the hero? Apparently when Romney said the important issues at play during the Chick-fil-a controversy “weren’t a part of my campaign” he really meant it.

Don’t get me wrong, Akin’s comments were an unforced error, because there’s no need to even circle the rhetorical drain he was circling to win the point he was trying to make. But the man has since apologized. Has Romney ever apologized for Romneycare, let alone the taxpayer-funded abortions for just $50 that was a part of it?

So many Romney supporters over the years have urged me to forgive his many transgressions against conservative orthodoxy. Where is their forgiveness for Akin?

Should one mangled statement overshadow a man’s entire career? Especially when it’s been as principled as Mr. Akin’s? The grassroots supporters who helped Akin raise $100,000 in 24 hours last week obviously think not. Those who care more about what the liberal media thinks than what the Constitution says sadly do.

If only the “architects” in the Republican Party establishment were as tough on President Obama as they have been on Rep. Akin recently. Who knows, the government might be smaller, the economy might be better, and the Congress where Republican John Boehner is Speaker of the House might not have a paltry 13.8% approval rating.

Whenever a Republican whose only difference with the Democrat is that he’s not one wins the primary, the Republican Party establishment likes to piously remind disappointed conservatives of Ronald Reagan’s famous 11th Commandment: “Thou shall not speak ill of thy fellow Republican.”

Apparently that doesn’t apply to Akin.

Even the chairman of the Republican National Committee said Akin was not welcome at the convention. Yet the little ball of hate John McCain, who has betrayed the principles in the party platform that define what it means to be a Republican countless times, was given a primetime speaking slot.

With “friends” like these, who needs Democrats?

Scores of ruling class Republicans have lost primaries to grassroots conservatives the past two election cycles. Based on what we’ve seen from the ruling class Republicans recently, there’s still plenty more that need to go. And their “architect” with his white board should be shown the door with them.

American and Western Prosperity

There have been several past attempts by Europeans and several recent attempts by American Sociologists to explain the ascendency of Western Civilization with its attendant prosperity and growth. The results have been quite similar whether the study was done in the 19th century or the last 10 years. We were founded on the ideas that personal property, including real estate, was peculiarly owned by individuals, not the state. The rule of law prevailed and included ideas of personal liberty in one’s own ideas, expressions, and religious preferences (the 1st amendment). And morality as defined by the Christian Bible controlled the formation of all laws.

These days many people, especially Socialist minded liberal Democrats, would have us throw away those Christian values including the Protestant Work Ethic for State (governmental) run, controlled, and defined schools, work rules and charities by using non-voluntary confiscated funds (taxes) to pay,feed,house,and control the masses whom they deem incapable of taking care of themselves. Factually, Government is growing in all sectors of economic life and its endemic rules are making it increasingly difficult for individuals to conduct themselves according to their Christian values and for businesses to expand or increase hiring due to the expansion of regulations.

"That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from consent of the governed.- That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People
to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and Happiness. Remember Jefferson's great insight : The GOD who gave us life gave us liberty."

Our Founders declared independence and created a government based upon their understanding of GOD's principles. They were committed to the idea of a federal government with limited powers. Because of their success, our government today is now the oldest government on earth. The best way to ensure its continuation and to secure religious liberty is to further limit governmental, particularly federal, powers and maintain the rights of redress articulated in the Declaration of Independence

Liberals tend to be immoral. Our liberal power elite are selfish, hypocritical, arrogant, self-righteous, and, worst of all, destructive of those around them, witness Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc. They saddle everyone else with rules, regulations, and higher taxes which don’t apply to themselves and that they somehow escape paying. The Buffett Rule might sound like a great idea, but it would never apply to Buffett or the Kerry’s, or Kennedys, or Soros, or any other left-wing billionaire. Liberal do-gooders are always coming up with lovely schemes for redistributing other people's money and managing other people's lives even if those schemes do more harm than good.

Welfare redistributes wealth to those who cannot work but also to those who avoid working, underreport income, or have found ways to take advantage of funding off the backs of those who actually do work. Did you think FDR designed Social Security to actually assist poor Americans? His entire idea was based upon making as many people dependent upon Government (run by Democrats) as possible thereby assuring continued Democrat Party rule. Johnson did exactly the same thing with his War on Poverty that has spent more than a trillion dollars ensuring entire generations remain dependent upon government largesse. Add to those ideas open and free abortion and you have an aging populace that cannot ever expand sufficiently to get the nation out of debt. None of that will end under Democrat Party rule since they have accepted Socialism as their basic tenets and rejected God.

Liberal Politicians Common Pathology

Had a recent discussion with a liberal friend of mine (yup, rare breed) who insisted  he could never remember the Big Zero ever telling a lie. After I caught my breath, we spent several minutes discussing definitions of “prevarication” and “liar.” After a bit, even he began to see overwhelming  evidence our President is a pathological liar of Biblical proportions and our Senator McCaskill as nearly corrupt, professional Democrats.
We started with a review of BO’s birth, SS, education, travel, and political promises prior to his current post, all the voter frauds including ACORN, and SEIU and the campaign financing irregularities. He had to agree they were somewhat sketchy. We then ventured into his Noble Peace Prize for doing nothing,  the stimulus bills, the firing of GM CEO while taking over GM and AIG then giving large portions to the Autoworkers Union, his worldwide apology tour, his Healthcare program, if you like you doctor you can keep him, no death panels, Planned Parenthood, National Endowment for the Arts, his refusal to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, Immigration Laws, filing lawsuits over immigration against various states. The there were the insults to our allies (Great Britain and Israel), debt upon debt upon debt and deficit spending causing a worldwide credit downgrade of US debts, cash for clunkers (which did wonders to raise the prices of good used cars), no budget submitted by either the Big O nor his Dem cronies (then Big O’s was a joke not even the Dem Senate would approve), the sudden pull down of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan announcing  specific dates for our pullout, calling the Ft.Hood Muslim Massacre of troops a mere workplace violence, calling the Boston Police stupid for having done what they were supposed to do, the Cap and Trade business, the offshore drilling moratorium, ignoring numerous court orders, ignoring Congress and saying they are worthless (I did grant that certain members really are worthless), going to war with Libya (which was threatening us in any way), aiding the Sudanese Government to kill its citizens, refusing the Keystone XL pipeline saying he needed more study (after his own DOE and State Dept. said it was OK), the continuous use of the US only having 2% of the worlds oil reserves when his DOE says it is more like 12-16% (that is 6 to 8 times as much as the Big O’s rhetoric) , his release of a forged Birth Certificate and selective service card (felonies), and all his communist friends whom he said he didn’t know despite photo records of his involvements.
I was prepared to go further since the records are extensive and proofs of his prevarications numerous but my liberal friend decided he’d had enough of Conservative insults and he was simply tired of having the truth thrown in his face so often. As nicely as I could, I reminded him that he’d started the conversation by denying the Big Zero ever lied and now he was trying to crawfish out of it by complaining about the truth, a typical Democrat ploy. After he huffed and puffed a bit more, he finally admitted BO had a problem with honesty but allowed as how all politicians lied all the time anyway so what was the big deal about the Big Zero?
Fact is, some people just will not admit they are wrong, made a mistake, or that their particular political “Savior” is anything less than a saint.

As governor of one of the most liberal states in the union, Mitt Romney did something even Ronald Reagan didn't do as governor of California: He balanced the budget without raising taxes.

Romney became deeply pro-life as governor of the aforementioned liberal state and vetoed an embryonic stem cell bill. (Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich lobbied President George W. Bush to allow embryonic stem cell research.)

Romney's approach to illegal immigration in Massachusetts resembled what Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona is doing today, making her a right-wing heroine.

Romney pushed the conservative alternative to national health care that, had it been adopted in the 49 other states, would have killed Obama care in the crib by solving the health insurance problem at the state level.

Unlike actual Establishment candidates, Romney has never worked in Washington, much less spent his entire life as a professional politician. He's had a Midas touch with every enterprise he has ever run, including Bain Capital, the Olympics and Massachusetts.

The chestnut about Mitt Romney being pushed on unsuspecting conservatives by "the Establishment" is the exact opposite of the truth. The Establishment, by any sensible definition, is virulently opposed to Romney -- and for completely contradictory reasons.

The entire NFM (non-Fox media) hate Romney because he is the only candidate who stands a chance of beating Obama.

Meanwhile, many of the pillars of the conservative establishment also implacably oppose Romney. Fox News is neutral, but its second-highest-rated host, Sean Hannity, is unenthusiastic about Romney, as is prominent Fox News contributor Sarah Palin, who has told Fox viewers she'd vote for Gingrich -- who has also offered herself up as a possible presidential nominee at a contested convention. (Wouldn't a former candidate for vice president on a major party's ticket be part of the Establishment?)

The No. 1 conservative talk-radio host in America, Rush Limbaugh, is critical of Romney, and another top conservative talk-radio host, Mark Levin, is adamantly against Romney -- though both Limbaugh and Levin supported Romney as the conservative alternative to John McCain in 2008, and Romney has only gotten better since then.

Purely to hurt Romney, the Iowa Republican Party fiddled with the vote tally to take Romney's victory away from him and give it to Rick Santorum -- even though the "official count" was missing eight precincts. Isn't the party apparatus of a state considered part of the Establishment?

I'm not sure what part of the Establishment supports Romney. Is it Romney supporter Christine O'Donnell, erstwhile tea party candidate for the U.S. Senate from Delaware? Am I the face of the Establishment? (If so, the country is going to be just fine.)

I would think that the pristine example of the Republican Establishment is Weekly Standard editor and Fox News contributor Bill Kristol. But he wants anybody but Romney, even proposing that we choose someone not running by means of a contested convention.

Who are we trying to get nominated in a contested convention, anyway?

Without having seen this mystery candidate in action, how do we know he won't be another Rick Perry? You'll recall that Perry was the dream candidate until we saw him talk.

In 2008, Romney was enthusiastically supported not only by Limbaugh and Levin, but also by Sean Hannity, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage and many others who now seem to view Romney as a closet liberal. This is especially baffling because there is no liberal candidate in the Republican primary this year.

Just four years ago, one Republican candidate for president was avowedly pro-abortion (Rudy Giuliani). One had opposed Clinton's impeachment and tort reform (Fred Thompson). One supported amnesty for illegals, restrictions on core First Amendment speech, federal laws to combat nonexistent global warming, and opposed Guantanamo and the Bush tax cuts ("tax cuts for the rich!") and called waterboarding "torture."

That last one was our nominee: John McCain.

This year, every Republican candidate for president opposes abortion, promises to repeal Obamacare, opposes raising taxes, and on and on. Only one candidate is strong on illegal immigration, which is second only to repealing Obamacare as the most important issue facing the nation.

That's the alleged liberal, Mitt Romney.

Conservatives scratch their heads wondering how the NFM can convince millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans paying $3.57 for a gallon of gas that the economy is improving simply by repeatedly saying so.

But then a large minority of those same conservatives are completely convinced that Romney is an Establishment candidate simply because they have heard that repeated so often.

As we say to dunderhead liberals: What we're looking for here is facts, not chants or epithets.

But instead of popping Champagne corks over our final triumph over Rockefeller Republicanism, some conservatives are still fighting old wars, rather like an old cold warrior prattling about the Soviet Union after the rest of us have moved onto the war on terrorism.

This strange new version of right-wing populism comes down to reveling in the feeling that you are being dissed, hoodwinked or manipulated by the Establishment (most of which happens to oppose Romney) the same way liberals want to believe that "the rich," the "right-wing media" and Wall Street Republicans (there are three) are victimizing them.

It's as if scoring points in intra-Republican squabbles is more important than beating Obama. Instead of talking about the candidates' positions -- which would be confusing inasmuch as Romney is the most conservative of the four remaining candidates -- the only issue seems to be whether "They" are showing respect for "Us."

Striking a pose as the only true fighter for real Americans may be fun, but this is no way to win elections. This is Sharron Angle on a national level.

The obsession with sticking it to the Establishment (which includes Christine O'Donnell, but excludes Bill Kristol) by voting for a loose cannon demagogue or a crusading Catholic who can't seem to move the conversation past contraception is as pie-in-the-sky delusional as anything dished by Democrats carrying on about "green jobs."

If saving the environment is the best way to create new jobs, then it could be true that being a hard-core environmentalist nutcase is the best way to appeal to the mass of independent voters.

Similarly, if reducing contraception use, lobbying for Freddie Mac and promoting huge government programs such as moon colonies and No Child Left Behind are the best ways to create jobs, then it could be true that Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are our strongest candidates in a general election.

Of course, it might also be true that dousing yourself in fairy dust does not guarantee that you will find the perfect mate and get the perfect job.

We're being asked to hand Obama another four years in the White House in order to "send a message." To whom? And what message? That we're morons? Message received!

Meanwhile, Romney cheerfully campaigns on, the biggest outsider and most conservative candidate we've run for president since Reagan, while being denounced by the Establishment as "too Establishment."

Scientists Say, We Actually NEED MORE Co2!!

 
Please note this editor has repeatedly said the Global Warming Myth is politically motivated by
ignorant people motivated by greed and governmental financial support. There is no more
evidence for Anthropomorphic caused climate change than there is for Zebras loosing their stripes.
There are numerous scientists of many differing disciplines who publically doubt climate change but
find themselves generally ignored by a media which requires titilation of the public causing some sort
of panic to drive their own media sales. The many falsified claims of those driving the myth should
be suficient for sober people, even politicians, to recognize the causitive factors of Publc monies paying
for studies by scientists who then become dependant upon those Public monies for subsistance.We are
paying for falsified data because that has become the requirement to keep some people paid.
